Summerlin Groves: A Sweet Second-Chance Romance by Elizabeth Camden

I rarely read contemporary novels. They're not my forte but I really enjoyed this one, and really learned a lot about orange groves. There's some historical storyline, mystery, sadness, upheaval as well as hope and painful romance. Keeps you turning the pages as they're uncovering the mysteries and then to see what they are going to do. You have to feel involved with the characters. Excellent read!

I received this book free from the author. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

The Winged Tiara by J'nell Ciesielski

Conspirator. Thief. Charmer. Thrill-seeker. But never liar.

Quite a pair. They met in a whirlwind at the end of the War and married, only later finding out all they had in common. Both were rejected by others in their youth and ever since have been trying to prove themselves, both as thieves. Good ones. They're on the hunt for the same stolen jewels, pushing and pulling each other all the way. They're both smart and competitive, taking them into the most luxurious settings, where they each shine. Lots to sigh about. Fast paced race to a glorious end.

I received this book free from the author, publisher and NetGalley book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Evermore by Jody Hedlund

Continuation of the series (read Always first) this being the story of the oldest Princess Constance, now known as Adelaide.  A strong girl, raised along her boy cousins, equally able to fight and compete in tournaments. Yet she is also kind and compassionate towards others. From a Noble family, Christopher left home when his father pledged his loyalty to King Ethelwuf who usurped the good King. He came back after serving another good King from the north, intending to say his goodbyes to his family and never return. But it being Adelaide's 20th birthday, things progressed quickly as it was quietly revealed who she really was, rekindling her old memories in the process. A momentous change and revelation for her and her family. Since she is the rightful heir to the throne, evil King Ethelwuf wants to kidnap her and get the key she holds (one of 3) to the treasure of Solomon. A tense, twisting depthful story unfolds that will keep you on edge till the end of the book. Highly entertaining Recency with Christian lessons.

Delicious mystery!
There's a hidden fortune belonging to an heiress desperately in need of it, with several relatives and so called friends also in pursuit. Her father hired someone to manage the vineyards, and watch over her. A God filled and guided man. Intricate suspense and romance, in a journey of faith. Christian historical set in England. And there's a castle! Excellent quotes from Vinters that relate to the story. Joanna is an author new to me, and goes to the top as one of my favorites. There is a richness and depth to her stories that is equaled by few.

Description from Publisher:
Tressa Harlowe's father did not trust banks, but neither did he trust his greedy extended family. He kept his vast fortune hidden somewhere on his estate in the south of England and died suddenly, without telling anyone where he had concealed it. Tressa and her ailing mother are left with a mansion and an immense vineyard and no money to run it. It doesn't take long for a bevy of opportunists to flock to the estate under the guise of offering condolences. Tressa knows what they're really up to. She'll have to work with the rough and rusticated vineyard manager to keep the laborers content without pay and discover the key to finding her father's fortune--before someone else finds it first.
Award-winning author Joanna Davidson Politano welcomes readers to Trevelyan Castle, home of the poorest heiress in Victorian England, for a treasure hunt they'll not soon forget.
