Vying for the Viscount by Kristi Ann Hunter

Christian Historical - Cinderella with horses
This is one of the most enjoyable books I've read. I didn't want to put it down. Bianca is raised by a stepmother who doesn't want her around. She goes to a neighboring stable to ride and exercise the horses because she loves them so much. Hudson has inherited the estate, arriving from India where he was raised. He doesn't know anyone, but as a member of aristocracy is expected to blend in and advance himself and his estate. Luckily he makes some good friends. Beautiful story unfolds of self discovery and learning what is important in life. Some of the most likable and alive characters you will meet. Loved It! Fabulous series.
I received this book free from the publisher and NetGalley book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

6 Historical Stories of Love that Takes Persuasion
by Rosey Dow; Cathy Marie Hake; Susannah Hayden; Yvonne Lehman; Colleen L. Reece; Janet Spaeth

"Our lives always need to be tended as if they were growing things, because they are, in fact, just that. In silence we can hear the most clearly. We must, however, prepare ourselves for what we might hear."

Christian historical. Quite a reading experience! Simple, complicated, and very deep. All very different stories of women and men put in situations that they didn't plan. Each is special in its own way. Nice long read. None of the stories go too fast or cut off too quickly. Entirely enjoyable. Some authors are new to me. I'm grateful to read their works and be able to add them to my favorites!

Another “collection”. I guess this teaches me a lesson after the second collection in a row – yes I do like them! And I will continue to request them. As you’d expect, these all are set in the 1800’s and involve high society, the ton, coming out, in England. That’s where the expected ends – all are quite original and interesting. There’s a lot to like – an enjoyable read right to the very end. Is there ever a sequel to a romance collection? It might be time!
