Set in Victorian times. Both strongly independent, Merryn and Rebecca secretly married five years ago - a marriage of convenience only. But he never told anyone. Now Rebecca is in his hometown, making things more than a bit uncomfortable. Each of their financial futures depends on the other, so they have to get along and work together - a challenge that gets surprisingly easier for them as they spend more time together. But her cousin's blackmail threatens to collapse everything and ruin them both. Even a visit from the King, where Merryn has overseen his welcoming celebration to their town. Excellent read, easy to be immersed and enjoy the wonderful characters. Beautifully orchestrated romance.
I was given a copy of this book by the author and Book Sirens review program in return for an honest review. The opinions stated are my own and were not required to be positive.
